Remote First
Work from anywhere that inspires you. Our team spans multiple time zones and continents. We believe great work happens when people have the freedom to choose their environment — whether it is a home office, a cafe, or a co-working space.
Async Communication
We respect deep work and guard focus time fiercely. Written communication is our default — thoughtful messages over real-time interruptions. Meetings are rare, optional, and always have an agenda.
Ship Fast
Get products into users' hands quickly and iterate based on real feedback. We favor small, frequent releases over big-bang launches. Done is better than perfect — and version two is always around the corner.
Learn & Grow
Curiosity drives us forward. Every team member gets an annual learning budget for courses, books, and conferences. We share what we learn in internal talks and encourage experimenting with new technologies.
A Day at Emnes
Here is what a typical day looks like on our team. Every day is a little different, but this is the rhythm we follow.
Morning Standup
Kick off the day with an async standup in Slack. Share what you accomplished yesterday, what you are tackling today, and flag any blockers. No video call required — write it out at your own pace.
Deep Work Block
This is sacred time. No meetings, no pings — just focused, uninterrupted work. Design, code, test, and ship. We protect mornings so everyone can do their best thinking.
Optional Sync
A short weekly team call for alignment, demos, and brainstorming. Attendance is optional and the agenda is shared in advance. If you can not make it, the recording and notes are always available.
Collaboration Time
Pair programming sessions, code reviews, and design discussions happen in the afternoon. This is when we sharpen each other's work and make sure everything is heading in the right direction.
Exploration Time
Friday afternoons are yours to explore. Try a new technology, write a blog post, contribute to open source, or hack on a side project. Some of our best ideas have come from this time.
